The origins of our company go back to the 1980s when we started
life as Jack Buck Growers on our site near Holbeach, Lincolnshire.
We are renowned for our growing of chicory - we were the first
people to produce the crop commercially in the UK. We still grow
chicory, and have close links with farms both locally and
nationwide that supply us with our other specialist vegetables -
celeriac, fennel, pak choi, artichokes, peas and beans.
Jack Buck Growers was bought by the UK's largest independent fresh
produce supplier, Fresca Group, in 2007. Since then we've grown our
business with Britain's retailers and in 2011 we changed our name
to DGM Growers. We now have a 'high care' facility for producing
prepared vegetables, as well as our chicory growing operation, our
field grown vegetables and our busy packhouses, and we look forward
to a bright, veggie-filled future.
